Welcome! Here are your instructions for the Lyle Hanson Virtual Trek-a-Thon, a fundraising event for the Pat Harris Guild, dedicated to supporting Research and Uncompensated Care for Seattle Children's Hospital.

Our Lyle Hanson Virtual Trek-a-Thon is dedicated to Lyle Hanson, a key member of our Pat Harris Trilogy Guild and the Trilogy Forest Stewardship Committee since its inception.
Lyle made significant and lasting contributions and was very active with Friends of the Forest.
Enjoy a video tour of the Trilogy trails, in honor of Lyle Hanson, who authored these videos for all to enjoy!

HOW TO do the Lyle Hanson VIRTUAL TREK-a-thon

Choose one or more of the Virtual Treks below, all on YouTube. These YouTube videos are selected from a collection from the Friends of the Forest Club of Trilogy at Redmond Ridge.

This 28 minute video starts with a map overview, then at 3:00 has a walk with only music.
For 25 minutes, you'll be on the trail from trail marker P-10, to H-16, to Colin Creek Trail.

In 8 minutes, you'll travel from Trilogy Cedar Lodge to Kari's Bog Overlook, O-4 to O-3.
At 1:00, the narration ends, and you'll have a silent stroll through the Trilogy trail.
At 5:20, you'll get a spectacular flyover with fabulous footage of this famous peat Bog
(not visible from the walking trail - even experienced Trilogy hikers will want to see this!)
At 7:55, you'll see a drawing of a Beaver Lodge, showing how beavers enter underwater.

In 14 minutes, you'll walk from the south entrance at F-4 and along Duck Lake.
It's a glorious stroll through nature in the great Pacific Northwest (Redmond Ridge, WA).

This 11 minute video, “The Monocle”, is a half-mile loop trail starting near trail marker P-5, the service entrance beside the Center for Well Being, and circling around the tennis and pickle ball courts, to Q-5, past the children’s and adults play areas, ending at the road.

2021 Spectacles Virtual Trail Walks - https://youtu.be/Wb8MbmlPKyI
This 22 minute video, “The Spectacles”, consists of two “lenses” or loop trails nearly side-by-side. The first lens (or loop) consists of 57 stairs, descending and ascending. The second lens (loop) consists of a loop trail, narrated largely by Linda Farrell, retired Woodland Park Zoo naturalist describing the flora and fauna of Trilogy. 2 miles in length.
